David had never in his life spoken to a teacher the way he spoke to Kalvin on Saturday. (Granted, no teacher had ever spoken to him the way Kalvin had either, but that was beside the point.) He felt awful, and he found Kalvin's class on Monday to be one of the most awkward experiences of his life.
He waited, though, until after school to try and fix things, not wanting other students around or to have to rush things to get to his next class. Once he was finished for the day, he went to Kalvin's office, tapping lightly on the door frame.
"Sir?"
